Sections In Spill Control General Absorbent Products Our highly absorbent general purpose pads and rolls are suitable for use with water, oils, cutting fluids and mild solvents and chemicals. PADS & ROLLS have various uses. When a spill occurs, socks are used to contain the spill then pads are used to absorb the trapped liquid in the centre. In adddition, they are useful for general wiping and for placing dirty/oily components and tools on. SOCKS are ideal for coiling around machinery to contain and absorb and oil leaks and drips. They are also used to form a ring around larger spills to act as an absorbent barrier. CUSHIONS can be inserted into drip pans and placed under leaking/dripping machinery etc. They are also used together with pads to soak up the centre of the spill which has been encircled with absorbent socks. BOOMS are very large socks for absorbing and containing larger spills. Especially suited to absorbing oil from water. They are enclosed in a strong polypropylene netting for durability, and have hooks and rings attached for linking together to form any length required. Hooks are placed 30cm in from each end of the boom to form an overlap which acts as an extra barrier against oil escaping. Chemical Absorbent Products CHEMICAL ABSORBENT PRODUCTS 'DON'T LEARN SAFETY BY ACCIDENT' All our Chemical Absorbent products are manufactured from strong polypropylene fibre which will not break down when used with hazardous liquids. Bright yellow in colour they are easily recognised in case of an emergency. Chemical abosrbents are capable of absorbing any type of spillage due to their universal nature, which is particularly useful in the event of an unidentified spillage. Oil Absorbent Products OIL ABSORBENT PRODUCTS Our range will absorb oil whilst repelling water due to the hydrophobic material that they are manufactured from. Our products will float indefinately to full saturation, and are manufactured from high tensile strength polypropylene fibre which resists tearing and disintegration. Oil only products act quickly, decreasing the risk of environmental contamimation, and are suitable for all fuels and hydrocarbons. Spill Kits Accidents do happen! Emergency response spill kits ensure everything is to hand for the first responder to deal with the spill effectively and efficiently. All our kits are colour coded for immediate identification. Refill packs are available for all kits. Chemical Spill Kits Bright yellow in colour they are easily recognised in case of an emergency.
